Award Season

The ACC began announcing its award winners on Monday, starting with the All-ACC team. There weren't many surprises with who was on the first team and who was left off. It seems as though most of the awards made sense. Unfortunately for the Pack, not one player made it on the first, second or third team for All-ACC. Senior Courtney Fells made it on the All-Defensive second team, but that was it for State.

I can't say I'm shocked by this, but it is disappointing. It kind of highlights why the Wolfpack isn't an elite team in the conference right now. The star power is simply not there. Oh well, awards don't mean everything. State still has the opportunity to win the biggest award, the ACC Tournament.

Here's the All-ACC teams in no particular order.

All-ACC First Team
Tyler Hansbrough, UNC
Toney Douglas, FSU
Ty Lawson, UNC
Gerald Henderson, Duke
Jack McClinton, Miami
