State 64, Miami 72

I don't have too much to say about this loss, I'm too disappointed.

State let this game slip away for sure, mainly due to a scoring drought of more than 11 minutes during the second half.

If the Pack play like this next week, the trip to Atlanta will be a short one.

On a couple of side notes, the officiating in the second half was questionable, at best. The two "hustle" fouls called on Tracy Smith were borderline calls and on several occasions Jimmy Graham was extremely aggressive with four fouls and did not get called for going over Smith's back to tip entry passes away. Also, the call with State down by five where the Miami player knocked the ball out of bounds and the Hurricanes got possession was crucial.

Anyway, no point griping too much. State lost this one all on its own. Hopefully the rest heading into the tournament will do the Pack some good and be an opportunity to get completely healthy. State will need its full arsenal, including Courtney Fells, to make any sort of run for the ACC.
