The first game is done and top-seed Carolina is moving on the semi-finals Saturday. Virginia Tech led throughout much of the game and had plenty of chances to win, but the Tar Heels climbed on the back of their All-American Tyler Hansbrough down the stretch and pulled out a tough victory. There was a questionable jump ball call late, but I'm not a fan of making excuses based on officiating. Carolina won, Virginia Tech lost. Period.
Obviously, I was hoping for the Hokies to pull off the upset. Pissed off Carolina fans are a beautiful sight. But it wasn't to be. The thing that sucks is that I don't Florida State or Georgia Tech can win, so it's going to be the Championship game before UNC gets a legit challenge.
